Skirling House - Carmichael

Originally the master bedroom, this beautiful room was designed and used by Lord Carmichael when the house was first built at the turn of the last century. Its large bay windows overlook the main gardens and the room is southwest facing with fabulous views to the hills. This is a peaceful and bright room, bathed in sunlight on most days.

The room is full of character and has a lovely wrought iron fireplace with original wooden surround. It also features a large 6-foot metal bedstead decorated with twining leaves. The room's bathroom is tastefully fitted with its original roll top bath (1908) in the centre with large fixed head shower.   Please note that as this room is situated above the high-ceilinged drawing room there are extra steps to climb.
